Schneider. Lots of opportunity to go dedicated, run OTR, regional. I'd take them over Western Express any day without knowing much more.

And you really really never want to be in a Western Express truck in Maine.
The DOT up there love them.
I don't know if it has gotten any better in the last 4 months since I have been up there but for close to a year you could not go past the southbound scale and not see at least 3 of there trucks either OOS or getting inspected.
The bears will at times sit across from the bottling plant and write down truck numbers and times as the drivers are called from the waiting area to get loaded. If there logs are not accurate to the minute they will get busted.

    I would say Schneider.

Western Express wants you to get your loads in Maine with a half tank of fuel. Seems they want you to pull those wonderful water loads of 47,000 pounds. State of Maine is real sticky on the 80,000# limit. Also Western is real good with their differed maintenance, workers inspect, cant find anything wrong, so send you down the road with unrepaired equipment. Oh by the way, that repair cost you not only the days not worked, but also $25 additional out of your paycheck for service fees. Western Express is a great company for saying they will get it done, but if you want it done you need to get it done. Also forced dispatch with no paid empty miles. First paycheck is after 30 days of work, if you ask for a advance it will cost you $50 fee of your pay. Lost paperwork they claim during the 30 days, even though business has seen your paperwork come through.
