There was a recall on my 2019 the device that blends hot and cool air was replaced and I believe there was also a software update.

Mine would get stuck in the position the last thermostat dial was adjusted to. Turning engine off then restarting semi would fix it for a while.

I’m looking to buy X15 565 Performance ( Peterbilt ) 2020 w /2017 Series epa...I ordered this in 2019 .. then backed out and now I’m reconsidering Buying this same truck that I ordered last year. I’m a Mason Contractor that hauls concrete BLock local and maybe sometimes takes a run to Vegas and Back. Pulling 80,000 I have two Questions

    1) is this X15 565 Performance to much HP to Drive Local and will I have problems with the Regen?

    2) I’m hearing about the NEW 2021 Productivity x15 ... ( 2020 Series) Do you have any thoughts about this motor

You will be fine with the engine for your application. Keep the idle time down even though it may be hard to resist to run the AC in your location. Keep with the recommended maintenance schedule and it will do fine.

I havnt heard of any significant changes for the 2021 model, but I havnt seen any as of yet. They should be hitting the lots any time.

450 HP would be more than enough.

I drove an 11 yard mixer locally for years. It had a Cummins ISM rated at 350HP.

That thing was tough as hell. Plenty for 75 mile radius around Phoenix.

    Often 70K plus pounds.
