Looking for help or partner

    Ok, well I am looking to re-enter the trucking industry. I have a current class a cdl with tanker and doubles and triples endorsement, a clean mvr and dac report and working to complete the hazmat endorsement but will be a 45 day wait due to fingerprints. Here is the problem. I have not drove for 5 years. Only company that states they would hire if they had an opening was Werner, all others I have looked at closed the door. Any suggestions on other companies that would hire for solo driver position or anybody interested in a team mate to run for a period of up to a year or less if needed. I live in Norfolk, VA but would travel about 300 miles to work somehting out. I am a smoker but other than that I am easy to get along with, and am clean. If your not then please don't bother, but you do not need to be spotless and right now times are tough. If interested or have any ideas on where to look

    No flatbed experience but not saying I would not try it. Any advice

    Hey J, Yes if you are willing to learn and do,you never be without a job. Flatbed is not for weak of heart and definitely not for those that can't get wet. i'know its not much advice,but if get this find my blog and find my yahoo. write me there,ok? now for some reason i've must have posted too many times in order for my replys to go through. or i'm not typing enough. so be safe. checkout some flatbed companies,and findout their requirements. findout the running areas and dont be affraid to ask questions you may think are stupid.
