Has any worked for Coastal Plains hauling crude? If so how was it, are you paid by the hour from start of pre trip to post trip? Any bonuses? Overall what did you like and dislike about them?

Be leery of anyone hauling crude right now. These companies underbid to try to gain market share and then when they ask to raise rates they get shown the door.
Ask what producers they haul?
How long have they hauled for those producers or marketers?
What's the average barrels hauled per day? That's total for the company not what the favorite driver gets.Brettj3876 and RockinChair Thank this. -
Guys are still hauling crude oil? ..lol

Coastal Plains has been hauling Crude Oil for EOG since 2011. I worked for them for 5 years. I can not say what is going on there today, but when I was there they were honest genuine Texas folk that paid a great wage for a days work. The trucks were top notch with equipment being traded out every 250K miles. They started with a few trucks with 1 yard in South Texas hauling strictly Crude Oil, they have expended to multiple yards in multiple states. They now haul Crude, Liquid Nitrogen and I believe that I heard they are hauling fuel. I loved every minute that I worked for them and would go back if I was living in one of their markets.
I don't know what is going on with them pay wise, I do know that there were numerous changes in pay when the oil markets started to plummet. If you talk to Jenny in HR, she will give you an honest answer to any question you have. -
I took the job with them, they are everything you say. Honest, great pay, great equipment and plus a lot more

I will also agree with what the two drivers said before me. Of all my oilfield experience as a driver, Coastal Plains was the best. I was last in West TX this time last year and they were still offering housing and paid % of load, which is what most do these days. The drivers were still making great money at that time.

What's the average daily wage?
What locations are running and what locations should be avoided?
Thanks.

Nice. Sometimes I miss that job at Sunoco in the Permian basin. driving into the middle of nowhere and picking up a load with no traffic. Too bad Midland was a so expensive
