X15 EGR Issue

    Goodysnap - I have removed and cleaned the venturi. Code happens with full load engine running at around deg Celsius. There is a little bit of an atlitude change on route Which might affect it, I replaced the baro sensor to be sure it is working properly. Not really much of a pattern. seems to do it when egr valve is closed, 1/3 open full open.....

    Not much for calibration updates. Looks like it was flashed to .11 in march of 19, nothing related to the egr system came out after that.

    Does the code still throw when egr shows 0% and the differential pressure sensor detects flow? Load tested/ pin drag the egr diff sensor wires at the ecm?

    I have load tested the wiring, did not pin drag them. Ill do that next time it is in.

    I have had a couple X15s with loose pins at the ecm. Kinda rare but has happened.

    Intake manifold pressure sensor and exhaust back pressure sensors are also used in this. Try cleaning them or replacing them.

    Are you fix the problem , I have the same code with my truck can you help me , I clean the EGR cooler , change differential pressure sensor , and still the same

    Im thinkin my issue is likely a DPF needs changin.....old mechanic here liked to reset DPFs and not change/clean them...

    Do you think the DPF filter it’s the problem when this code come back, because the weather here’s like 25 F or something less, but what do you doing when you have the same problem I have just two code 3383 J1587 fmi 0 j1939 fmi 16 son 3058 and the other one is 1943 inactive

    And I do the calibration update too , clean EGR valve , two holes for differential pressure sensor cleaned and code come back after like 100 miles

    High exhaust restriction is a likely cause of this fault. On my truck with the issue, i have replaced the EGR Delta P sensor, EGR valve, exhaust pressure sensor, intake manifold/boost pressure/temp sensor, EGR temp sensor, baro pressure sensor and its still doing it. I have also repeatedly cleaned the EGR venturi or Mass flow device whatever cummins calls it.

    I have drag tested all terminals on each sensor, I have not inspected the ECM connection yet. That is my next plan of attack and if its all good, im changing the DPF.
