I imagine if you won't move out of reserved parking for the trucker or the store clerk, you'll move for the cops. Parking in a spot that someone else paid for is no different than stealing. Stop making Texans look bad. We can already do that on our own.

Then you better not go taking reserved spots that you didn't pay for, super trucker. Because if I paid for a spot and you didn't, and you threaten the store clerk and/or me with a gun, the cops will get involved. And that sort of thing is enough to lose your CCW.

We make the big truck stops BILLIONS per year. Generally they hire competent and helpful staff. It makes no sense to me why every one doesn't have a good armed guard constantly policing the fuel islands and parking lots 24/7. I do not mean a rent-a-cop. Hire an off duty cop to do the job, a competent person with a firearm.

I know that some stupid rent a cops have gotten in tangles, even shots fired, with people in the last couple years. That's why you need a competent person to do the job. Rent a cop agencies will hire anyone.

See a person dumping trash or waste? OUT!
See a guy taking a 30 at the pump? OUT!
See a guy playing shenanigans with the paid spots? OUT!

    Seems pretty simple.

They do in the more dangerous areas, but it really should be everywhere.

You never did answer the motel question.

I'm ALSO curious where you find a $15 or $20 motel.

Last time I found one of those deals was in 1997 near Chicago.....

.......they had rates by the hour and half-hour, and rubber sheets with Tyvek pillow cases.

I stayed anyway. I was out of hours in a daycab.....

Can you repeat the question please?

Cheapest motels I've seen lately are about $35.

Tucson, along 40 in Missouri, couple places that escape me.

There's one in El Paso that's $45 by the Petro with truck parking that's good. Additional $10 for cat. This includes taxes and resort fees.

    Snailexpress and homeskillet Thank this.

    "RESORT FEES"?!?

Is there a water park? Rides? A golf course for cats, maybe?

Fine dining? Free spa treatment, including the cucumber slices on your eyes?

    Dave_in_AZ Thanks this.

I work for pilot flying j as as an employee I am so tired of reserved parking. I keep getting these oversized loads coming in taking 2 spots and not paying for anything and running out numerous guys that do pay for them. I have to turn away my regular customers so wide load can sleep peacefully for FREE. Telling me they can’t move it after dark and all this crap when I just try to make them move literally 35-40 yards. They always tell me “well why can’t they park there” when they paid $0. I do appreciate y’all real truckers but man we have got to stop with the ######## ones. I’m just trying to do my job and ones like that straight up make me want to quit. I try to get other truckers to help me out and get the ######## to move and they still won’t. Like #### do y’all think I like knocking on windows not know what I’m the world I’m going to be met with. Respect is disappearing fast from this world ☹️☹️☹️
