Does the engine fan come on when you are sitting stopped? If not, that is your problem. The AC high pressure switch makes the fan come on and they do go bad sometimes. They're maybe $45 and screw on and off easy.Rideandrepair and Batman13 Thank this. -
If it works when he'd driving I doubt this is going to fix the problem.Rideandrepair and mitrucker Thank this.

If the engine fan does run at idle, then the air flow is blocked. The condenser isn’t cooling down. You can hit it with water from the front, cool the condenser down, and it will blow cold. Proof it isn’t getting air flow. Sometimes you can get Lucky, and spray the radiator with Low pressure water, from the back side, maybe use some brake kleen. Then hit it from the front, while engine fan is running. Might clear some of the debris, without taking the condenser off. Best to take it off, clear the front of the radiator. Chances are the ata cooler isn’t getting flow either. Best to take it off also, and clean all the fins up.Batman13 Thanks this.
