2019 pete x15 performance 2350. 565 hp 1850 tq eaton 18sd 120k miles. I've seen a few posts with what sounds like a similar concern I'm having. I can feel what seems like something hitting the floor of my truck in higher gear/speeds. Starting around 6th gear. Hear it most in my 7 high or 8 low and high. Sounds like every rotation. I can hear it and feel it. Slight vibration at my feet with it as well when pulling heavy loads up hills. My wife can't hear it when she's in the sleeper. In other posts some suggested getting the driveline balanced. Is it possible the clutch needs to be adjusted? I've had a mechanic i trust go under and look at the drive lines and they said everything looked good. Its been doing this the last 40k miles or so

Does it change when you put your foot on the clutch?? Not enough to disengage it or anything just just enough to move the throw out bearing around a little.

How can the mechanic tell if a driveline angle is off by just visually looking at it?

Some are so bad it's painfully obvious.

They just made sure everything was tight. So after researching i found it could be clutch needing adjustment, driveline needs balancing, tires need balanced. So I took it to my mechanic and im having all 3 done to be safe lol.

Clutch adjustment is one of the steps in checking the driveline angles anyhow. Seems to be a common problem with these 389's...

Luckily I haven't had any further issues with mine since getting it fixed, seems to be a recurring problem for some folks.

    Good luck.

I found a YouTube video on how to do it myself. If I wasn't getting my driveline looked at i would've tried it myself. If this fixes the problem and it starts up again. I'll just adjust it myself. Looks like I could do it in prob a hr or even less.

Please explain how adjustment of the clutch relates to driveline angle.

Throw out bearing is starting to ride on the clutch fork and transmitting the vibration through to the floor and when it starts it normally shows up in higher gears under higher loads. @Wespipes should have noticed the free play being little to none if this actually is the cause of the vibration/noise.

With that being said the clutch has nothing to do with drive line angles.

I should have worded it different, its one of the steps in the process that peterbilt uses while diagnosing a driveline vibration issue.
