I tend to think the big F has a little more pull with Caterpillar when it comes to warranty than the smaller dealers in the US do too.

 

I sure have no complaints with them. they've treated us pretty well over the years. we've tried other repair shops thinking we'd save some money but in the end they just aren't worth it. had them rebuild a 1LW and it went back six times for "warranty" repairs. oil got into the coolant and turned it to jelly and fried the motor, we fought with that #### thing for a year after the rebuild until it finally broke the crank. turfed it and found a used 6NZ from TCM Transport in the city. was in a 'Star that went into the rhubarb and spaghetti'd the frame.

 

My only complaint about them was you never got the job done fast enough. If you did a head gasket in 12 hours, next time they wanted it done in 10. I do quality, not quantity. I don't milk the clock but I'd rather be an hour over quote and know it was done right than to have it come back again.
