Figured I'd give a little update, im almost finished with my 200 hours and been across the us a couple times there are alot of things that this 200 hours of training has helped me, also alot that has frustrated me, I for the life of me cannot see why anyone would want to team drive (ill just leave it at that)

Some days im comfortable and someday I am completely uncomfortable especially at night trying to back into tight spots at truck stops

I feel like the learning curve will get steeper when (if) im on my own (nothing is ever a sure thing in this world) my mentor is good dont get me wrong but always having someone hovering over you it doesn't feel like I really get a chance to learn fully.

I'll bet it was different. I remember my first day of orientation at Swift. The instructor was a huge fat guy named Bob. In the morning several of the students came in with coffee and Bob asked them where they got it. When they pointed to the break room down the hall he got this horrified look on his face and shouted "You don't work here!". That pretty much set the tone for the three days.

Welcome! I started at the Swift Academy, went out with a mentor and have been solo with Swift for almost a year. My 1st month solo was rough. 2nd month, still rough, but not quite as bad. During my 3rd month it all started to fall into place better. Just hang in there. Take it one load at a time and try to relax. There are a couple of us Swifties on this site, don't hesitate to reach out if you want. It is survivable and I've had a pretty good experience with Swift so far. Not perfect, but not bad.
    Good luck to you!!!
