Hi, there. My name is Lisa. I'm 36 and live in Alabama. Single and no children. I haven't had much luck finding a long-term job around here, and don't want to keep waiting for someone to hire me.
I've often thought about trucking and have talked with a few recruiters. I back off because I'm worried I won't be able to handle a big truck, will confuse the gears and brake lines, etc., and don't possess a lot of mechanical ability. My research into this field still hasn't helped me decide if it's right for me or not.
Driving is something I've always enjoyed, although I know trucking is more than just driving. Definitely not trying to romanticize the job.
Any advice will be greatly appreciated. Thank you and be well.
Wondering if I should pursue trucking
