There aren't many options for better pay. Around here. It's always start at the bottom pay scale.
And I just bought the house. I'm only at 10% equity.

Rent for one bed in my hood used to be 700 to 800. 4 years ago. Now we're 1200 to 1400.
There aren't many studios around here so I have no idea on that rent.
4 years ago housing was 250. Now it's 400 and climbing. -
But it's the cost of legal weed you guys are overlooking.
I mean it probably costs the average head at least $1500 month to maintain his / her head.dwells40 Thanks this. -
snowwy and Dave_in_AZ Thank this.

Hmm, I’m renting a 4 bedroom two bath house — nothing fancy, but not a dump, either, on a 200 acre farm (land not included, but the neighbors don’t bother me much . ). $550 a month. Heat’s about $150 a month in the dead of winter, landlord pays for water. For someone making $10 an hour, that’s 25% of their pay. For someone who is OTR, making in the $70 K range, that would leave a LOT of disposable income. But, if you prefer to live in the big city and pay two, three times more for less, this is a free country.

I like the big city. There's more jobs to be found.
