There aren't many options for better pay. Around here. It's always start at the bottom pay scale.

And I just bought the house. I'm only at 10% equity.

Give me the national average cost of a studio apartment and I will give you the minimum wage after accounting for food and utilities.

If thats the case, companies who want to pay minimum wage should only hire students for those positions.

NYC $3000.00 per month. Backwater,Missouri $300.00 per month. Rents vary so substantially, that would be a hard number pin down. I would think an "average" Studio apartment in an "average" neighborhood would be in the $500-700 per month.

    I think that's low. I'll bid $1,000.

Rent for one bed in my hood used to be 700 to 800. 4 years ago. Now we're 1200 to 1400.

There aren't many studios around here so I have no idea on that rent.

4 years ago housing was 250. Now it's 400 and climbing.

But it's the cost of legal weed you guys are overlooking.

I mean it probably costs the average head at least $1500 month to maintain his / her head.

Ok..... I'll revise my guesstimate. A crappy studio apartment in a hell hole neighborhood....$500-700 per month? Lol

Hmm, I’m renting a 4 bedroom two bath house — nothing fancy, but not a dump, either, on a 200 acre farm (land not included, but the neighbors don’t bother me much ;). ). $550 a month. Heat’s about $150 a month in the dead of winter, landlord pays for water. For someone making $10 an hour, that’s 25% of their pay. For someone who is OTR, making in the $70 K range, that would leave a LOT of disposable income. But, if you prefer to live in the big city and pay two, three times more for less, this is a free country.

I like the big city. There's more jobs to be found.
