    Years ago, any breakfast in GA was served with grits. In Ohio, it was home fries. I GA you would have ordered and said Hold the Grits. That's just the way it was.

    True story: A Trailways bus driver from S. GA ordered ham and eggs w/ grits in NY bus terminal. 3 different waitress's and then the cook came out supposedly to re check that order the prior one did not get right.
    Cook explained.. We are lost, what is it you want. He said next trip.
    Took them a round cardboard carton, went in the kitchen and held
    forth on how to prepare. Kept them in stock as long he run up there.
    Name was H.L. Godwin.
