Well I got a little wood cut and split today... But I also moved that entire load of logs about 20 feet to the side of where the guy dropped them in a heap. Did I mention I moved them all by hand???
Yeah I'm bushed and my feet & legs feel like they are made of lead. But at least the logs are now stacked neatly and no longer in the way of the neighbors hay deliveries expected later this week.
What if it Snows?

Oh Yeah, my son got his first lesson on the operation of the log splitter today...
He loves to help Daddy... I would handle the blocks of wood and he would run the hydraulics. Hes getting a proper country boy upbringing... He can barely talk, but he is already learning how to operate powertools and equipment. -

If drivers don't throw iron how the heck do you get over the Cascades in the Winter. You don't. Get real. No gas, food or any consumer products. It's what we do. Around here you get laughed off the mt. Agree with you Cattleman.LtlAnonymous, InTooDeep, Dave_in_AZ and 5 others Thank this.

I tried to find some info on high intake pressure, nothing. Only Turbo info I found has to do with soot build up on VGT, causing it to malfunction. Hopefully it’s not the case. I assumed it’s an ISX. If it derates to 5 mph, there’s a video on removing abs fuses, to over ride the derate, so you can still drive to a shop.LtlAnonymous, Dale thompson, LoSt_AgAiN and 2 others Thank this.

That's simple, I don't drive east and go over the Cascades or the Sierras in the winter. I run north to south on the I-5 or to the southwest in winter, and the passes that occasionally need chains get plowed and cleared in a couple hours unless it's a big storm. I always check the weather for the duration of my trip. Haven't had to chain up yet since I've been an O/O. I know it's not for everybody, but it works for me.LtlAnonymous, Blu_Ogre, Rideandrepair and 6 others Thank this.
