Why do these Trucking Companies post they are looking for local drivers when they are really looking for OTR drivers? A total waste of everyone's time...grrrrr
Why?

Cause this industry is rather terrible compared to many others. We are regulated more than most and many drivers at times make minimum wage or less working for sorry outfits. It's becoming a race to the bottom faster and faster every year.

I responded to a supposed yard jockey job one time - long story short the job was actually unloading appliances off trucks..........then.........loading em on another truck...........then...........driving to various locations..........then.........INSTALLING THEM !
LOL !!!Black_Yeshua, truckdriver31, Brettj3876 and 9 others Thank this. -
I mean they weren't wrong. You were jockeying the product around the yard... And the customers yard, and their house, and...
RockinChair, Badmon, truckdriver31 and 11 others Thank this. -
I'm not attempting to cause an argument and I am not taking sides. Would you be so kind as to link to an example of a carrier you know that is doing ads for local drivers but only accepting OTR drivers. I ask this because I might be able to get this specific activity fixed through other connections I have. This Bait & Switch is 100% BS and needs to be stopped.Last edited: Oct 22, 2020
