I was pulled over for swerving in a snowstorm, back in 1994.I failed the field sobriety because I took more steps then the officer had asked,on the heel to toe line, while being blinded by his headlights, and walking on side of highway,in a foot of snow, and freezing cold.He asked me to walk ten steps, and I walked all the way to his car.In a straight line mind you.Anyway, after i saw what a Nazi this guy was I refused the breathalyzer, and any other cooperation that was asked of me.I was very rebellious at 24.I took the stand in my own defense, against this cop,and won, hands down. They claimed they did not have the dash cam on while i was walking the line.I know it`s because it would have gotten me off even easier. Now here I am 15 years later, and just got disqualified from Crst trucking for that refusal. Will Swift refuse me based on this incident?I have only had my commercial license for 3 weeks.![]()
Will refuasl to take a breathalyzer bar me from Swift?

They may.
I am wondering why this is still on your record though, if you won in court.
You should contact the court and explain what is happening and see if they can take it off.
I would not think that would be on your driving record more than 10 years anyway.
Now as a driver if you refuse it is an automatic DWI. You can go to court all you want later and it will not matter, a refusal with a CDL is a DWI and automatic loss of your license for 1 year.
Do it 2 times and you loose your CDL for life. -
Is it on your record, did they find it, or did you tell them about it?

This was in my personal vehicle,15 years before I even possessed a class A license.I was told by the recruiter, that it sucked to be me,cause I lived in Massachusetts, and it`s just them ,and Wyoming, that keeps your driving record going. All other states, drop everything off after 5-10 years.I have an excellent driving record for past 3 years.I am also,a soldier, but guess that doesn`t always mean,I`m no longer a swiller.lol.

I basically told the recruiter, that I had a jaded past before the millitary, but have been well behaved, and a perfect driver for at least last 15 years.I told him the stuff that was on my record was so long ago, that I was not sure about the dates,or the outcomes,so he told me no problem, that he would check it.Well he checked out my old police record, and cleared me for hiring and arranged for orientation this Monday the 12th.I got a call yesterday saying they randomly checked my driving record, and that because I refused the test 15 years ago, that I was plumb out of luck.He said some companies would still hire me,but that it was against crst policy.

Im not suggesting a way to skirt the system. Why not use a relative in a neighboring state to transfer your license. Wala, your record only goes back max 10yrs.

Speeding tickets? In the past 3 years? If you have more than 2 moving violations in the past 3 years, that may exclude you from being hired...

ehhhh.... yeah that maybe could work. Most companies want to know all other licenses you have held. When they pull the record for the new state they'll be able to get the MA license number and pull it too, if they wanted. -

Doesn't your license NUMBER follow you?
I've moved 4 times in 6 years, and my NUMBER is always the same...

Mine hasn't. I've held a CDL in Indiana, Maryland, Pennsylvania and Texas and had a different number each time.
