The largest expense on the road is meals. Can save tons of money by cooking in the truck.
Some drivers never eat in truck stops and only cook in the truck. They use a crockpot and something like a George Foreman Grill. The crockpot will cook your next meal while your driving and it's ready when you need to stop and eat.
Some smaller truck stops still have good food at reasonable prices though.
The large chain truck stops are expensive though.
