One thing that made Washington somewhat tolerable is the state-named roads crossing the lettered and numbered streets at a 45 degree angle. That took some of the worry out of making turns.

My thoughts are if I should have made a right turn and missed it. I'll just make 3 lefts to get back on course. Slow and steady is better.

The problem with that is the first left might be good . But the 2nd one is truck restricted . Or maybe such a tight turn u cant make it even if u wanted to. And not all roads are layed out in a nice grid like that . Sometimes there is no other roads for 10 miles. Luckily with reefer id expect ur gonna be going to big warehouses and not have to deal with crappy directions and addresses that dont exist or jobsites that dont even have an adress yet..

Oh dont worry you will still have plenty of opportunity to get lost ... just comes with being a trucker... every once in awhile i take a ramp off the interstate just to get out and walk around for a couple seconds and check the straps ... well for some unknown reason 75% of the time i always hit the ramp that doesnt connect back to the on ramp.. And it takes you off to some completely different road to god knows where . Those are always fun . It has happened to me so many frickin times, but it wakes u right up if u were getting tired..

"Son of a ##### .. guess were going on a detour now" usually followed by "god i hate this frickin place"

If you miss a turn? Look for a mini mall. Generally they have a driveway that goes around back for deliveries (it goes completely around the building). It is a great way to get turned around.

I went to places in a reefer that looked abandoned. They called it an ice house. And some for those warehouses were built in 1902 for horses and carriages but swear drivers can back in that end door all the time.

So today was one of those days with a lot of opportunities.

And it all went really good.

But I'm wound up pretty good.

So I told The OM, " Let's get a mini pizza to celebrate. "

And she's like," You're going to make a giant truck salad. No pizza."

And I'm like," You're not the boss of me."

    And she's like,"Yes. I am."

Such bs. Work my ### off and can't even have a pizza.
