I was conducted a level I inspection at a weight station earlier today, and got a violation of failure to ensure container securement. I fixed the problem on the spot.
When I asked the police if I need to pay any fine for this, he said no. But there was a citation # on my report.
How does this affect my company score, CDL point or insurance?

Start here: Load Securement & Impact on CSA Scores
If there is a fine, it probably depends on to who the ticket was written against. The CSA/PSP numbers will be shared as for insurance, I don't think it will do anything as it wasn't a moving violation.

Thanks, just checked 393.126 severity weight 1. Does that mean 1 point on my CDL?
Do you know if citation always come with a fine, or is it possible to fight it? The police told me no fine this time, i wasn't 100% sure.

No, I really have no idea about the fines. There also will be no points on your CDL like a moving violation, but the CSA and the PSP come into play here probably

It's hard to take a blog post serious when they start out wrong.

There is no such thing as points, thus a score, on the PSP report!

Not hard. PSP is a report on all CVSA inspections for the last 36 months and wrecks for the last 60. No more, no less. And no point values are assigned!!!

    selinrosa and snowwy Thank this.

Well sure... that's why its called the Pre Employment Screening program... there are no points and no scores.. its simply a blank page with absolutely no values or information on it... OK... whatever

That's not what I said and you know it. You are being ignorant because you're too lazy to look up what is actually on a PSP report. Here's a sample directly from fmcsa. Please show me on that sample where the scores or points are? Hint:. You won't find it.

And every post about PSP/CSA brings out a bevy of Truck Stop Lawyers that tell drivers erroneously and play word games insinuating that information on the PSP has no effect on the driver.. i never said that the PSP had a "score" it has information about citations and accidents.. the CSA has points and it effects the companies and they get to keep those numbers regardless whether the driver stays or leaves. To pretend that PSP has no score is idiotic, the violations are on the report and the carriers can SEE what the violations were and what the weight (score) of the violations were to the driver's company. Its word games.. its tedious. Your insinuation that PSPs have no weight is idiotic.
