    No you just get the right size and use the cams to tighten them.

    If you use the wrong size chain, they could be too small and not be able to connect, too big and they won't fit snug to the rubber possibly causing damage to the under side of the trailer along with being tossed off the tire and possibly wrapping up on the axle and/or drive line. Not to mention that "whap-whap-whap" will drive you crazy and let everyone around you know you don't know what you are doing!

    i will try to get someone to film me cussing up a storm the first time i have to chain up in -30 weather.

    Should make for great entertainment

    Good luck finding someone willing to go outside at -30....then again......some rookie might do it for a cookie with gravy!:p:D

    My number two advice for any new driver is to shut off the radio and concentrate when you get off the highway near your destination.

    I'm 17 years in, and I still do that when I'm going somewhere new.

    Number one advice is stay away from me. Aka following distance. Lol
