OH! I WAS APPROACHED BY HER!

    Small, weird world.

I don't remember what I told her, but it ended without money changing hands.

I would, and have before, go out in -30... But it sure as hell wouldnt be to throw iron.

Now working cattle is another story... At 30 below the rivers and creeks freeze over to at least 6 inches thick. If those are the cattles only water sources. Then someone has to go chop holes so they can drink. It is about the most miserable job a man can do... Very wet, and very cold. When I had to do that job I required 2 hours after to shower, warm up, and get dry clothes.

-27 is my record. WHY-OH-MING. I was thinking, "Man is this a truck." Just waiting for something to break.

Was like -38 with windchill though in Minot a few years ago. Most outstanding truck stop up there. I remember the loader wearing a breathing apparatus and cold weather gear like you see in arctic expeditions.

    Now we can't sleep.

Well I can't sleep. I keep waking up The OM, and she looks at me like,"Why do you keep doing that?"

Ive driven in -30... But getting fuel rwquired 10 mins before to don heavy winter gear... Lol... No way in Hell you would get me to throw iron in that cold short of a life and death situation.

And the usual dose of alcohol added to the fuel got tripled, I wasnt taking any chances.

Same. It's really miserable. I slid down that little road to the dog food plant in Green River. I mean slid. Solid ice.

Was thinking, " Yea. I fool with chains right now. LOL. NOT."

The loader is like, "Can you slide your tandems."

Said I guess I'm not getting loaded. Like 6 inches of ice crusted to everything. Yea I'll slide the tandems.

    He loaded it.

Winter in WHY-OH-MING will definitely separate the contenders from the pretenders.

Interesting video... Ironically I have had 2 real Cuban cigars made in Havana. A salesman, and personal friend of mine, from the fertilizer company I used to work at went to Havana on a business trip to learn about thier agricultural techniques and processes. While he was there he got to see how cigars are made in person. He brought me and one other guy we worked with 2 cigars each... 1 each were ones that he personally witnessed being hand rolled and then were given to him. The other had already been aged and he purchased. IRC he paid $50 each for the aged ones. Have to say they were the best cigars I have ever had, or probably ever will have, in my life.

I slept 2 hrs. Woke up an hour and half ago. Can’t sleep now. Very rare. Tomorrow’s the last nice day here, High of 75, plan on getting up at 8:00, cutting grass, and working on Truck. Surprised I can’t sleep. Be safe out there.
