We are not allowed to talk about deletes here.
I have cut out thin stainless plates to test mystery problems like that on other color engines. They did not throw flags ( codes and were not deleted ) but do not know about your ISX.
Always had concerns about flow through them being part of the total cooling system and causing hot spots when capped off.
Have to back up as a 6.0 Ford will show an EGR thing on the scanner. Never light a light on the dash or derate because of it how ever.

Sounds like a headgasket, or an air compressor. If you take the cap off and start it up with it full and it blows out antifreeze then air pressure is getting into the coolant.

Since you’re loosing that much coolant out of the pressure cap Im betting the EGR cooler has ruptured from the valve being commanded shut all the time and you’re over pressurizing the cooling system with exhaust gases.

I would just block off the exhaust flow into the cooler and leave it in place.

I would verify EGR cooler is actually leaking and find the source of the leak. Join Rawzes website.
