As much as I like automobiles I hate to say it, but these companies are determined to commit sepiku.

Maybe we’ve built enough cars. If every car ever built could be refurbished, (few million a year for 100 years.) probably enough for the population of the world.

Looks a lot like an evolution of an Enzo.

As awesome as that is, something is definitely fishy with that story. I know cars were cheaper back in the 70’s and paying with cash was still possible, but dropping $4-5 grand, shipping a fender off for a replacement then yanking the stereo out, and then doing nothing with it for 40 years?!?

That makes no sense. Did he just go out and buy something else to drive? Did he buy it for a weekend toy and find it lacking? So he just bought something else?

One conspiracy I’ve heard is that the damaged fender was from a hit and run or fatal accident on the way back from Philly (where he bought the car.) and some time after he installed the replacement fender he was arrested, prosecuted, indicted, and jailed for a long time. By the time he got out he didn’t much care about the “old sports car” anymore. And moved on. Obviously a criminal history isn’t something people would like to share so he kept it quiet from his neighbors.

Of course, this is flagrant speculation.

He has a collection of junkers.

The red 63 Corvair is his grandmas that she bought new.

34000 miles on it. He tore it apart 20 years ago and had it painted. i know the blocking scares the hell out of me too.

He is just getting around to putting it back together once he finishes repairing and releveling his pole barn from frost heave.

The 62 4 door is a beat survivor but it runs and drives good and is taken for drives monthly

The 65 3 speed manual convertible is his 8 year old boys field car It makes me cry.its restorable yet.
