I am leaving Oregon headed to Sapulpa for a quick stop for drive tires, then to Fort Worth, then on to lake city FL. Catch me and I will buy.You have to realize that this is not one of those solar Power trucks lke some of you have, we run night and dayThe Challenger and Jarhed1964 Thank this.

"Solar Powered Trucks" BAAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAA!!!!!!!

Haven't heard that one in a long time!! -
Man, I'd sure like to know what JCT is doing to get that many miles for it's drivers. That is just rediculous!!

Being out in a truck for that long is definitely a lot easier when the wallet is full..... course I'm guessing.... cause I've never had my wallet full while being on the road.

The guys in the JCT office are geniuses
that's how we get so many miles lol. Well they maintain a fleet of around 700 trks. And with them being an o/o comp they can negotiate rates with more flexibility. U hardly see a lot of unoccupied trks at the terminal either unlike some of these bigger companies. So the business plan they got helps them and us drivers be sucessful.
-
Well, truth be told, the reason you see less empty trucks is because you have drivers making plenty of money = happier drivers. Whatever they are doing to get those kinds of loads, you gotta admit, they got their $&)# together. -
If you think about it, it's quite simple. They keep their trucks running because they don't have TOO many trucks. Look at all the other companies buying new trucks left and right just to put drivers in them and make them sit. It sounds like JCT scales their company based on the needs of their customers. It's a win win situation. They keep their drivers moving and keep overhead down by not having trucks sitting around all the time. -
Yep I am sick!!!!!!!! Man I feel like crap my head is throbbing :smt021 I have made a few oral offerings to the porcelain god
and the side of the road.I hate being sick :smt093.I am in Pittsburgh waiting till my appointment time to deliver the rest of these tomatoes.I have am planned even b4 I am mty which is great but I am trying to see about some options so I can get some rest or just take it easy.I do want to go back to Texas though its wet and cold up here.I drove 500 miles in the rain today.Maybe I will feel better in the morning.
-
Yeah, that makes sense. Who'da figured that only having enough trucks to get the job done would keep you from wasting money on driverless and freightless trucks?

A lot of companies could learn from that model. -
Thedizz
