Post #7 has "the great smokey roadblock" 1977 movie in its entirety.. Watched it yesterday. It's not the best movie I've ever seen, but might be worth the 103mins to kill some time..

Have you tried giving your exhaust system a good cleaning?

I was just thinking about the kind of driving you've been doing lately, and you just might be gummed up with soot. You could start be cleaning your boost and nox sensors, check the dozer, then the dpf might need baked. But start by cleaning up the sensors.

Already changed the boost sensor. Nox sensor was my next task...running up in these mountains , u think its worse for the soot levels ?

That's too bad. I've only run across Gully FLD's a handful of times. Usually going 65mph in opposite directions, so don't get a great look them..

I've always liked them for the simple reason of continuing on with the FLD. Don't know much else about them..

7.00mpg sounds pretty frickin decent considering. 21 year old technology, brick hood truck, heavy weights, on 2 lanes with more stops & slows downs than the big road..

 

Its not derated at all. Just check engine light comes on for 2 seconds then goes off. Then def light comes on for 2 seconds and goes off. But leaves the engine light on in its path. It goes away with 3 driving cycles. So i know its not a severe code. Thought at first it was just bad def fluid. Cuz light went away after i filled up new def. Came back on yesterday after 4 days running fine. Makes me think its just bad sensor not reading properly or wiring.

 

They used to have a terminal up here off Rt 2 east of Sandusky. Nothing but junk. Lots of worn out FLD. Think there was another division too. Like MXD or something. All junk too.
