I've used airdog and fass systems on 5.9 and 6.7 cummins powered pickups. The reason was to supply a sufficient amount of fuel to the injection pump to make bigger power. I never installed them in the pursuit of fuel mileage. I did however have an improvement in mileage. Improved fuel mileage was always a result of replacing the turbo, intake/exhaust manifold, exhaust system, injectors and advanced timing. The aftermarket lift pump was just there to keep from running the injection pump dry or low on feed volume at WOT.
It's a balance of matching multiple parts and tuning to improve mileage or power, not bolting a single item on.

Must be a nice set up, I’ve never had my 6.7 WOT, especially towing.

Hamilton cam, 85% over injection pump, 150hp injectors, 369sxe turbo and countless more junk.
Made 620 at the rear tire and it's really reliable.
