Swift was all "Well everything looks okay. We'll schedule you for orientation. But we're all booked solid. Call back in X days to see if we can find a spot for you." But then when I called back they were all "Swift just changed their policy. We need to find out the details about your accidents you had at CFI or we won't hire you." Swift needs to find out the damage amount and the ruling of the accidents, and I've been back and forth between the Swift recruiter and the Con-way manager, and Con-way won't release any detailed information. Whatever knowledge they have, they're for some reason guarding it with sworn secrecy. And now I'm down a few bucks for faxes just to get worthless info that won't do me a lick of good, and I'm just pretty much sick of this circus I've gotten myself into. I don't think I should have to work this hard, so I'll just let my CDL expire, and I'm not driving a truck ever again. Swift sucks. Con-way sucks for ruining CFI. And that's all I have to say. Good bye.

Attention employers: We now require a valid DOT# for anyone wishing to post a driving position. If your job offer doesn't contain a DOT number, it will not get past moderation and will not appear in the forum. The other requirements in the sticky at the top of this section are still required as well. Thank you for understanding.
Well that's it. I'm done.

so, nobody will hire you, and you're not going to drive a truck any more? well........duh!!!!!!! that's like an ad on craigslist that reads "well, if I can't sell it, then I'll just keep it!" no ####? really?
FriedTater Thanks this. -
If you were charged it should be in the court record of where you had the accidents. But as far as the damage amount, that could be a secret. If you hit someone they may have threatened to sue, but took a settlement instead and that could be sealed which means they cannot legally give out that information. But you can get the court record. It could be sometime before it gets put on your driving record. Or your driving record could be that bad and they just don't want you, and the recuiter could be tired of being cussed out, so he just came up with some excuse thinking you would just drop it.

Sad truth more like . . . .
Far to many in the USA think like you. . . . .

Was just trying to throw a little humor into a bad situation but you know what I mean if your profile is correct. If I had a dime for everytime I said I was finished with it.........
But... what do you mean by "think like you?" ] -
I think he meant far too many that think that because they're having a hard time going from one bottom feeder company to another that it's the end of the line in trucking for them. No outside the box thought...Just "Oh, This is hard so I'll just quit!" mentality.
If that's the way your mind works...C-YA!!FriedTater Thanks this. -
Ok i will throw a different spin on this.....
Why would a person work so hard and spend so much money and time getting an cdl to just let it go.....
Once you let it go you will find it difficult to get it back if in fact that person changes their mind.....
I would keep my cdl even though i was not driving a truck!!!!!
Just my .02!halfburn Thanks this.
