    Greetings.

Last winter i gelled up, again, and long story short it's no fun.
This winter if it happens again I want to be able to change my fuel filter.
I have a cummins isx15 with a davco filter. The filter part number is fs19765.
What size wrench do I need to take it apart. Is an adjustable wrench a better idea?
Any tips for doing this what I hope is a simple test....edit.....i found it.

It takes a Davco wrench. Can pick it up at almost any TA. Just slides over the housing and grips the notches on the collar and WHALLA!

Get the proper wrench. They are cheap compared to breaking the locking collar or cracking the fuel bowl. Both of which will result in a road call. 09DD6596-916B-4352-87E3-0B9858DAE6E9.png

You really need to add the coolant heat option to the bottom of your davco

If you're going to the cold. Fuel up with cold.

Don't fuel up in Texas expecting to be Allright in the Dakotas. I made thst mistake in Wyoming.

    And. As mentioned. Anti gel.

I run Canada down south and return all winter EVERY WINTER. I always fill in Blacksburg SC and head north. It will get me back into Ontatio no sweat. BUT. Before I park on night 2 in Ontario, I fill with northern fuel. I've never had to add antigel ever, just buy your fuel up north and you will be fine.
