That short stroke comment got me wondering..
So is a shorter stroke safer for more/slightly higher rpm.?
According to the my 11.1 valve cover, it's an 1800 rpm motor. So it's the same bore as a 12.7, but shorter stroke.. I think @jamespmack said his will turn ~2300 2350, something like that.. When I get it tuned (eventually
) I was thinking go up to 2000 or 2100. So if the longer stroke 12.7 can turn 2350, can I do the same, or maybe more..?

It'd be safer, and cheaper in the long run, to put 3.73s or 3.90s in the rearend. Just my $.02

Way more to rpm then just stroke. Camshaft specs affects what rpm range peak volumetric efficiency occurs at as does bore and stroke ratio.
Max rpm is also dictated by valve train design, valve spring strength etc.
