Yea was going to say maybe it’s the box walls that are flexing

Thanks for all the replies, guys. It's not the box. It's heavy gauge steel. Everything is tight and secure. It's my brackets that are flexing. I know how to fix it, if need be, I'm just wondering if your boxes are solid, or if you can move them at all?

Basically wondering if I should pull the brackets and beef them up, or if I should ignore it.

Try welding more angle to the top most point of where it bolts to frame to the far end of it where it bolts to tarp box frame you built?

In a couple of the pictures, you can see the steel tubing mounted directly to the frame is on a weld bead. The tubing has pads above and below the bead, so the tubing isn't actually touching the bead.

Also, the angle iron is 1 1/2 x 1/4". Not sure why I had it in my head that it was 2".

If it's normal for the brackets to flex some, I'm going to run it.

personally, I'd put a steel strip behind the frame, longer bolts and bigger/thicker washers. If it moves at all, it will defirm the holes in the aluminum.

Put a piece of angle iron on bottom rear connecting both brackets, also maybe a strap on the bottom of the outside of the brackets ,
