Should I apply on my own or through the school? Do the schools get a kickback from companies for sending you to them?

Some companies only hire from certain schools..... I would try to stay away from getting my cdl at a company school. Then you have to sign a contract or pay back the tuition. read everything you can before investing the time and money...

Driving trucks is a lifestlye not a job!!!!

Oh yeah I would apply every where.....and then research the companies that send out prehire letters.....So that way you decide which one you want to work for....To answer your question about kickbacks.... Some company schools have been closed for unethical behavior..... So read everything first!

I start Roadmaster this Monday. I am interested in US Xpress and TransAM. USx told me apply 2 weeks before the end of class so they can process the paperwork.

I was just wondering if roadmaster gets a comission or something if I get a offer from a company they suggest..
