Hi guys(and gals)! New to the board, not to trucking. Have any of you had any dealings with HVH out of Denver? If so, are they a good outfit? The wife and I have an opportunity(hopefully) We've talked to a couple of their O/O's and they sound pretty good. Just wondering. Thanks in advance.

I didn't like the whole .87 per mile on the site. I do see a lot of them around though.

i drove for an o/o for hvh for 3 months......pay sucks .87 plus fsc...if u got any miles round 2000-2500 a week u are lucky, if u arent one of there kneepad drivers(u know what i mean) u cant get any good freight, they took 3 months to process my app. then sent me to a medical center for an physical which me and several other drivers failed the same week only to get a 3 month temp physical card after favors were called in owners of both companies are golfing buddys....there weekend dispatcher got mouthyh with me and shouted vulgarities at me and called me just another worthless truck driver, i got angry shouted back was talked to by managment was told everything was fine, only to be fired 7 days later after i had been dispatched after meeting....there are some really nice folks that work there, but there are others that say and do what they want and the driver in there words doesnt have the right to stand up for themselves or say the same things that a dipatcher or driver manager can say....alll in all i would say dont waste ur time or money......they will try to charge u around 800 per month for plates and permits if u choose or get chosen to leave before ur lease is up......they say they require safety and log compliance until they screw up and force the driver to run illegal or face losing ur lease.......so glad i didnt buy a truck to lease on there

I worked for them for almost a year, the first six months was ok but then my truck broke down and I had to borrow 3400.00 from the company. For the last 5 months I haven't got a settlement they tell me I didn't make enough to get a settlement and somehow my maintenance account went from 3400.00 to 11000.66 they rip me off and didn't make my lease payments . I'm talking with attorneys now and I have all my receipts and invoices do I will not let them get away with stealing my money . Bad out fit don't work for them don't trust them they lie.

I've been with them for almost 3 months. So far I've asked to get home every 7 to 10 days. I've never home once since I started. I'm going on 4.5 weeks out not of my choosing.
I told my driver manager I wanted to be home for the labor day weekend. Nope, they send me to California, even after I've said I don't want to go there.
The pay is ok,is on time. They say what they pay, but your truck payment best not be like mine. I have a paid for '99 Western Star, but due to it being a year older than they prefer I had ti go the lease purchase route. My payment with insurance on a 2015 Peterbilt 579 is 807 a week. After fuel, and maintenance act, there's very little to pay Paul.
The maintenence act is a joke. It's your money, but you have ti submit a work order in order to have the funds loaded to your Comdata card.
Then you have ti send them the copy of the recipe at months end ti show your taking care of your equipment.
They never tell the truth on when the load is ready, or delivery times. A buddy who is leased here, is sitting at a HD because they said they receive up til 9pm. What a joke this place is.
They're hurting financially too. They just sold off their LTL division to raise capital to get newer equipment. The trailers, will pass a dot, but the older ones have holes in the floor. Soon they are going Tablet app electronic logging, with a ping, they'll know where you are anytime.
If you live in the Denver area, tippy can expect to be home weekly. If in Texas, forget it!!!
If you don't have Hazmat, no problem. But they'll push you till you do. I will not haul it especially for.05 extra.
They're are other places to lease with. I wish I'd have gone to one that would honor my request to go home as needed.
The gentleman who recruiTed me was top notch. He took exceptional care of getting me here, putting me up in a nice hotel, ground transportation to and from orientation and to look at prospective trucks at the local Quality Companies yard in Henderson Colorado.
In closing their dispatchers and especially the planners need to take into better consideration that there's a person at the helm of that truck that has a family who misses them
