Thank you to King Tire here in Jane Lew, WV.. Gave me the tie plate, drilled the holes in the plate (cause I got a drill but no bits) & orange coated 1157.. My spares are clear..

They wouldn't take a nickle from me..

I wimped out & stayed the night there.. After seeing another 8 gut piles in the 85miles I drove with a black eye, was worried I'd tag another one & be on the shoulder till dawn.. I figured if the self taps give up, I'll sling some zip ties through before the holes wallow out completely.. Just pulled up in Grantsville, MD. Holding strong for time being.. Only another ~1500 miles till home 20!! Lol
