Plan ahead, no need to do the trip in one day, or two for that matter. Decide how many miles you can do in a day safely, and devide up your trip to suit yourself. Decide before you leave where you're going to spend the night. Get a good nights sleep each night and have at least one decent meal a day. If you are older, like myself, stop for a bathroom break when you first get the "urge". You won't regret your decision. Above all, take/have access to more money than you think you'll need.

Ouch that's a bit of drive to work ain' t it? So you have two options find a job closer to home or move closer to work? Oh just thought about this maybe i've read the question the wrong way are you referring to 1100 mile drive to work or how many miles you'll travel per week in the company truck? The max a truck driver could legally travel per day assuming there truck can average 72 mph all day long which would be near impossible unless all your doing is driving across flat open planes in Kansas and Nebraska. If you can drive for 11 hours at 72 mph every day you'd get around 792 miles per day. However that would be very hard to accomplish every day. 4 days at 792 miles should get you around 3168 miles. In a perfect world that would happen however as we all know that very rarely ever happens, a more realistic view would be about 650 miles per day.Last edited: Nov 13, 2020
