    I have D13 500hp and I-shift with crawler gear and it is superb, but dream of more hp. Has anyone used the current Ultrashift auto, how does it compare?

    There are three different versions of i-shift transmission, regular duty, heavy duty, and severe duty. All three of these transmission can be outfitted with direct drive or overdrive. 95% you see on the market today you are only going to find is regular duty. My truck has HD Version because I ordered that way.

    I have the Severe Duty. Pulling 63.5MT and often more on and off road. Need another truck and would like more power which means the Cummins and so the Ultrashift is the available option. Don’t have any experience with it.

    All the mechanics that i know have not talked favorable about the Ultrashift or its derivatives.......the trans is bullit proof it the X/Y shifter side that fails all the time.

    I am looking to buy a 2016 volvo with ISX 15 and UltraShift Plus transmission , I am new to UltraShift Plus transmission. how are this transmissions ?? I am a bit scarred .. TIA for your input
