Not hazmat, I passed that test too but not in any hurry to do that plus the fingerprints process is a pita when you don't go home often. Calls for freeze protection, and will definitely look at volumes and see about leaks. I expect to get a seal so I suppose the drain and peep hole is all I get for checking en route.
Thanks all. I'll keep pulling like a grandma and hope things go well lol...

No problem. Some totes, some barrels, some boxes. Surge feels about like laying in the canoe on 'still water ' except that Lake Ontario is never still and will rock you to sleep...

depending on how much weight you've got, those totes won't amount to much. i frequently pull hm totes (several loads a week), if they're under 10k lb i hardly notice them. of course load composition and tote placement will affect things, but very little on small(er) quantities.
Qbf594 and Midwest Trucker Thank this. -
You’ll be fine. Not a big deal. Throw a couple straps across the tail and get on down the road.

When did motor oil become hazmat?
Roberts450 Thanks this. -
When I hauled totes in a reefer they usually put rubber mats under them.

Rugerfan Thanks this.

I had no friction mats and they put none down. But it was loaded sensibly and rode ok. 7 totes 4 pallets of barrels and 6 pallets of boxes. 2 straps across the back. Here to unload in the morning. No problem
