Liquid Wrench for the win.
Hammer166, Final Drive and JonJon78 Thank this. -
I've cleaned my guns with WD-40. Worked great, but I have heard pros and cons about it.
-
I use the blue label lubricant - only Liquid Wrench a lot. Doesn't draw much dirt.Dave_in_AZ Thanks this.

I'm sure it gets the job done but for $12/bottle I would pass. WD40 is much cheaper and works. I sometimes use PB Blaster too.
-
I have a couple C-channel slides I use it on, a couple times a year. WD-40 I'd be reapplying every week! I'm all for saving money, but I'm not fond of banging my head on the wall.
There's a reason there's a plethora of lubricant types. Hell, I've got silicone spray , WD-40, Fluid Film, Liquid Wrench lubricant, and aerosol graphite paint, all in the side box, and all get used in different places. Proper tool for the proper job, it doesn't always pay to be a cheap #######! -
Well, is it any good?
-
What rock did you just climb out from under? Everything has been overpriced for years.Dale thompson Thanks this.

Castle Thrust has worked for me where PB hasn't. It's been good so far.
