Go over to the Swift forum in the company section ... There are company drivers in there who've been with Swift for years. They can give you a more objective opinion.
I went through the Richmond terminal a few times when I was pulling for Swift
The folks there at the time seemed decent.
Good luck.
Hired by Swift.....anyone go through there program?

I started at the Swift Academy in Phoenix in August of 2019. I'm still driving with Swift and quite happy with them. Here's a link to post I kept going when I started.
My Swift Academy Journey. Will it be a swifty one or not?austinmike and Kingty9183 Thank this. -
Youll be fine. I never worked for Swift, but i did start at a mega company. Just stay focused on learning the in's and out's of the industry. When in doubt, GET OUT AND LOOK! Good Luck -
Kingty9183 Thanks this. -
I am curious, you have to take the bus to Richmond from where?

Welcome to the Wide world of truck drivers I just hope you get paired up with a decent trainer I just can't image having to team up with someone for 6 weeks in a tiny cab.

Run as fast as you can. Swift has a terrible reputation. Try to find another reputable company that doesn't have such a bad rep. I recommend Super T Transport based out of Idaho Falls. They treat their drivers very well. Pay isn't top notch but they take new/student drivers and like I said, they treat their drivers great.

When did you go through Swift's training program. How long did you drive for them? What specific terrible things did you experience while you were there???Six9GS Thanks this.

Your signature line reminds of a guy I ran into South of Roanoke. I parked beside a dude had worked in the tech industry lost his job during the financial crisis. Very next day I ran into him at Flying J Cattlesberg Ky. This dude had small dog and loved operating that truck. I was running the pickup with gooseneck.
