My company has me in a 2019 T680. I have a Connex 3300 that I want to run in it. I have several different ideas I'm gonna try for mounting so I think icI got that covered.
What I'm needing help on is powering the big radio. I just talked to my preferred CB shop and they told me I need at least 10 gauge(8 would be ideal) wiring directly to the battery. Anyone able to tell me how to run the wiring? I'm planning on hanging the radio directly underneath the factory mounting location so I'd want to run the wires up through there and out to the radio. If I use a heavy duty 3 pin power cord with an inline fuse, would I need any other fuses in the power supply?

A 3300 only draws about 15 amps max

I've already bought the 8 gauge wire and inline fuse holder on the advice of a very good CB shop. Cost difference between it and 12 gauge is insignificant and I really don't see how a slightly heavier cable will hurt.
Did I mention it's been peaked and tuned? I'm told 100 watts is not out of the question. I'm prepared at least so I feel ok about that. -
Specs are not far off from my stryker..Try it and see what happens..Take in account the crap wireing and connections that truck manufactures use you will see a voltage drop..When voltage drops so does output....Feed the radio what ever it needs and get what the radio was designed to do..
Hell i would up the wire ga for a cobra 29 outta the box, might be over kill but still...
Found this nust to show..
