Your employer should be shot for giving out your personal cell number. If your employer wants to you to be tracked or speak with brokers then they should stop being cheap and give a company phone to handle such responsibilities. You're nicer than I am because I'd be raising massive cain over something like that.

I think it's easy to forget that all the tracking calls and requests originate with someone trying to make sure their customer is taken care of.PPDCT, Truckermania and Midwest Trucker Thank this. -

sad truth...its a new world we live in if your a company driver your employer should have a ELOG system that can connect with most broker apps (many ELDS have integrations with various apps). If your a single owner operator either have the same system or get a work phone that can handle the tracking. Fewer loads will be available to you if you dont comply...its not a conspiracy but customers demand visibility. Most of the tracking apps only track when your signed into the actual app and into the load. If there is a breakdown of communication and you keep getting annoying text for tracking the best thing is to have your dispatcher or driver call the broker provide a status and move on. Its easy to talk about not complying with broker demands in a good market...when the tide flips which it always does what then? Stay consistent and find a solution. Ramble over and out...
