I seldom pay more than $30 for sunglasses.
Amber is the color I prefer, and they have to be polarized.

Amber cuts out the blue, which can be hard on my eyes.
    Polarization cuts out the glare.

And make sure the lens' do not distort your vision.
Hold them a foot or so from your eyes and move them up and down, side to side to see if they cause distortion.

I have prescription amber polarized Rayban Wayfarers...they excellent and its on the companies dime.
You have to be wary of cheap sunglasses as they can often have distorted lens which cause eye strain, headaches etc. $3.00,,,what can you expect? Also their UV ratings can be highly exaggerated.

I wear KD’s with the yellow lenses mostly cause it’s usually cloudy where I now live. I also have the dark green lenses and red lenses. The dark green are great when it’s really bright. They’re only $15.
