Yeah! Their not so bad. I don’t really like their invoice / POD receiving system. They won’t except regular pdf style proof and invoice anymore. You make an account on their page, they give you an input key code, you enter it on their website, no invoice, and then they communicate back with email.
Better than Buchanan Logistics though! Buchanan’s invoice system is bulky and not very efficient. I’ve had uploads get lost, pdf’s won’t attach even though it said it uploaded lol. I always have to call a couple hours later and make sure it’s all received -

I get a chuckle out of all these remarks. Everybody's got all the answers. Never lose a dime. All high profit, successful negotiators. But you ask them who they deal with to get these high dollar situations, and there's dead silence. Gotta laugh.drive-away2020, JonJon78, Rickp and 3 others Thank this. -
No shame here. I simply pointed out the ridiculousness associated with some of these people such as KOF, as the OP was doing. So I grabbed it and went with it. Not my forte' or area of expertise to do business with these spot market clowns in the first place. I look for profit, not folly. For instance, I made $5,000.00 before lunch Wednesday off a purchased machine that I delivered 120 miles from my yard. Bought and sold and trucked myself, and felt that was a fairly good day's pay. I do that quite regularly.
I don't belong to the club of trucking for miles, I belong to the club of used equipment sales, refurbishment and transport. I happen to like to generate revenue along the way as well, so I lower myself to play the game of finding something to pick up along the way to enhance the bottom line. So you all can break it down any way you'd like to...but I am the #1 advocate against hauling cheap freight...yeah that may sound crazy given the fact that I revealed that story that should have been taken to the grave; but I also like to get other people thinking by telling the truth.
I know it means nothing to anyone here, but the fact of the matter is I did what I did to do what I thought was right at the moment. I usually just deadhead to or from my last deal lately to eliminate the need to explain myself about these actions anymore. Then you tell THAT story, and get the other side of the trucking scientist's perspective about being stupid for deadheading...it's a lost cause trying to talk sense with some. When you think outside the box like I do, you tend to get dog piled on by the ones who don't. That's OK...it just solidifies the fact that there's all kinds of people in this world, and in this industry the folly is that when 3 or more are gathered together, most likely there's going to be a disagreement and no conclusion is reached. Been watching that happen for 40+ years. That's what makes it interesting at times. -

I tried desperately to explain to the broker that I loaded a Cat motor grader for in Springfield, Mo. going to McAllen, Tx. that I needed a considerable amount more than they were willing to pay to cover the deadhead out of McAllen...but they couldn't give a cat's phlegm about my problem. I find that quite regularly. The last broker never seems to be very understanding when you mention that you need another few hundred bucks to make it make sense. Neither do the ones I've dealt with on a pending load...when I look for what I consider sensible these days. If I could only learn how to negotiate like some of these guys I'd be a millionaire.
