Yup, I work with lots of farmers. The all have stories. One bus contractor has an old Rockol tractor, all restored. I've never heard of them. They were made in Edmonton in the 50s, came with chrysler powertrain. Story goes his uncle was tilling with it. He went out to the field to check on him. The tractor was nosed into the shelter belt chugging away. The seat snapped off the tractor, the uncle fell off and was run over by the tiller. And he lived. They restored the tractor and never used it again.

 

My grandpa had an old John Deere in a style similar to that one; I’m guessing it was an improvement to the horse and plow him and his brothers used as a kid with his dad on our property hahaha I always enjoyed hearing his stories from that time period
