My MXS was the same way. Cat didn't cut my dipstick, they took a dye grinder & made a new full mark further down on the dipstick.

my MXS is using a gallon a day taking it in through 4th of july vacation to be tore down cat says to record oil consumption they say anything over 1qt. for every 60gallons of fuel is excessive , it's blowing blue smoke out th stack , blowby is real bad but it runs good probaly rings broke on a cylinder they say
-
How many miles has it done?
Will be interesting to see what they find.
If it's a broken ring, any idea what the cause might be? Lots of cold starts, too many revs? Too hot? or just bad luck.

rings what i'd say it is cat's are notorious for it here seen several trucks around with this problem cat has updated rings for this only 215,000 miles about 11,000hrs though
