    Hey guys and gals ,
I’m thinking about taking a plunge and getting a truck next year . I know this topic is like beating a dead horse . what do you guys actually bring home at the end of the year after expenses, taxes etc .

There litterally a thousand different answers, all depends on how much you want to work, and for how much $ and how much you want to save/spend. You could make over 100k saving and living in the truck or you can get a Very good accountant and show only 20k by writing it off and being lazy,
but the choice is yours, not someone else’s

Anywhere from negative 250k to positive 250k. It really depends on how hard you want to work and how good a businesses person you are.

Op you can run your ### off and lose money. You can run half the miles and make $100,000.
You won't know until you do it.
If you jump, have an escape plan.
    Good luck.

Just because the truck is moving does not mean it is making money.

Not to sound like an ### but Sounds like the wife has no idea about running a trucking business, you can show less money and still have a better quality of life With one truck than a company slave

FWIW I can average gross 4-5k a week (Sometimes more if I feel extra productive but average) and I leave mid morning Monday, and am parked by noon Friday with usually less then 1500 miles on the truck, Can usually get home Monday/ Tuesday nightS too If I really wanted but gf also drives so if she works late I just stay out

No offense but if your wife is telling you what you need to make you better stay exactly where you are.

And I could be completely off the mark But if you stay where you are at and every week she knows how much money she has for diamonds and Furs and Cadillacs and toys and pampering and Spa and Nails and everything else.

And even if she's someone who is Frugal and just thinks it's not worth it unless you make $100,000 a year don't do it!

I can't say it loudly enough. Don't do it!!!

Man this is the worst time ever to be thinking about doing this.

This is not political but we have a completely different situation that may take place that may completely and totally chang the entire landscape of this entire industry not to mention affect our economy in ways that, at the very least are extremely uncertain.

Go get the best company job that you can and hang on and you and your wife will not get divorced.

And if I am off the Mark I certainly apologize.

But my advice to you is if she doesn't have a job tell her to go get one.

And if she has one tell her what the minimum requirement is that she's allowed to make and she better go get a better one. NOW!!

    Or else!!!

As you sit there laughing going on my God that will never fly, now you know why you can't go buy a truck.

    DON'T DO IT!!!!

With all due respect if you are asking this sort of question you are not ready. It is impossible to answer

This is very true. Some years I fall into poverty level of income. Get up and smile everyday.

Not the best idea to show 100k net.
