How much does a trailer drop normally cost?

In Detroit it's $100-150 per month, in Chicago $200-400, in your area I have no idea

 

Any of the larger companies, more than say a dozen trailers will not want a "pay per day" contract. They will want a set price per month or year based on a set number of spaces, whether they park 1 or 100. And they expect their spaces to be for their trailer's, not scattered all over the lot.

 

I charge $100 a month for a locked yard, no security except for a dog.

 

If you're going to charge per day per trailer, that means you'll need a gate with a guard to keep track of the trailers. Better off just charging by the month for a certain number of spots with unlimited access. Then get some local O/O's for monthly parking of their rigs. You can fit a lot of equipment in 5 acres. Keep the lot surface nice and keep the lot well lit at night. Security cameras would help too.

Yes they will. The trailer repair shop just down the street from the Petro in Bordentown, NJ. On the other side of 295. They charge per trailer per day, USX, Swift, JB, Schnider all had trailers in there back in the day. USX hated using the place, but they needed the trailer storage in that area so they paid it.
