1988 turbo issues

    Ok so the problem child has struck again. Trubo us starting to go out so I need to replace I can't read the engine serial number. Motor isn't original to truck and has been changed so I am lost for a part number. I just need oe replacement not really looking to upgrade since I dont have the money. Also part number on the turbo doesn't match anything that was supposed to be there

    I will also have to take the manifold off and replace the gaskets because cylinder 6 has decided to start leaking

    Cummins.

    Look on top of the fuel pump, there is a tag with the fuel code on it. This will let you know what it’s calibrated for ( horsepower ).

    Call your local shop that builds pumps and give them the numbers, they should be able to tell you what the pump is built for.

    If they can’t help you, post a pic of the tag and I will make a call.....
