Have you cleaned your main starter to chassis ground really good with a wire brush? If that cable has internal corrosion it can cause too much resistance and maybe cause these types of issues. Usually the starter to chassis cables are like $20

i have not i will check that out over the weekend. as far as the gauges...i guess im an idiot and while messing around with the fuses i never put the gauge feed one back in lol. those are fixed. also noticed randomly while opening the passenger door i would get accessory power. i did recently swap in new doors and had to convert them to power. i pulled out the wiring and taped everything up. seems to be working but ill find out over the next few days. still not sure why i have to jump the 2 wires from ignition just to start it.

it really does sound like a grounding issue. I’ve had an issue before that was electrical in nature that replacing my starter to chassis ground cable fixed.

now, the voltage not going through on your ignition does sound like a separate issue. As long as the supply side has 12v, And your ignition switch is good, I don’t understand why you needed to splice them. If the input wire is hot, then the only next jump would be the ignition switch, then to the starter solenoid.

ya its very odd truck just cranks and cranks. i ran a toggle to the battery and starter prongs on the ign switch. if i touch those 2 together, it fires right up.

Water leaking on right side windshield ?
Moisture getting into fuse box and relays ? If so cut open one of those relays and bet its all corroded

i get leaks in the cab but they seem to come from the doors, never noticed anything from the windshield. those relays are cheap enough tho i could try cutting one open. tomorrow I will snap some pics of the fuses and also the diagram printed on the back of the cover.
