If you live in Canada, don't even think about working as a driver, that's a big mistake. I don't write out of emotion, but my observations show that crossing the border becomes an insoluble problem. Yesterday to the border from Bufallo to Fort Erie, all trucks were directed to the emergency loop, it took four hours, today I am standing in front of Detroit 19 hours because the product that clearing UPS does not have the correct code. UPS does not answer calls at all, I checked most of the States in which they operate. My company has been working hard since yesterday. What is the moral, it shows that every customs broker saves by using new technologies that limit human involvement. In this way, the driver is doomed to endless waiting with a small problem. If you are lucky you will ignore my comment, but the time will come for you. This work is finished, it is the last jumps or a few days of waiting before the border
If you live in Canada

I cross the border from Port Huron, MI into Sarnia most weekdays. I’ve had zero issues. Easy in easy out. I pull a tank loaded with hazmat in and go out empty.
Hazmat Cat, upnorthwpg and Smut Thank this. -

I've spent over 24 hours in the customs border prison.
Right at the harley shop.... Some people will know. Canadian chuck norris behind you all the way.
Maybe 14 hours in usa prison waiting to go thru the x-ray machine or immigration.
Stuff....I don't miss -
I quit crossing in 2008 when they said you had to have a passport. It was like we lost the Cold War, “stop , do you have your papers ?”

I cross all the time up by Thunder Bay Ontario (Pigeon River, Mn) and Ft. Francis (International Falls, Mn) I’ve never had a problem going to Canada. Coming back to my home state and country are another thing. They can be jerks sometimes. Tear apart the inside of my truck and leave a mess. I also find it sad they charge me to come back empty across the border.
