So do you brokers mind when a carrier asks questions like "Who's the shipper?" Who's the receiver?" "What's the product?" before accepting the load or do you just expect the carrier to be glad they're even being offered the load?

"Most" Brokers feel they are doing you a favor by offering the load, I repeat MOST, if you don't feel comfortable doing the load that is offered on the Load Confirmation [Shipper/Receiver] don't sign it!
TheLoadOut Thanks this. -

Myself I'm finding enjoyment in asking Brokers about the detention policy layover policy and truck ordered not used as we discuss the rate.
I actually had one today that said their policy is 4 hours before detention, but it really depends is situational and but I think maybe you know we could try for something different but it really kind of depends and that was the end of that real quick.86scotty and TheLoadOut Thank this. -
Top one is Rate Confirmation after I asked to include ALL the Dims, Bottom is advertised Dims., 11' 11" = legal loaded height (14'), needless to say they went silent and never received a correct RC after I added $180.00 for the Permit and extra routed miles...Guess they were looking for a "Dumbed Down" Carrier and probably found one. DO YOUR HOMEWORK!!!!!86scotty, PPDCT and TheLoadOut Thank this. -
Continued....Received an email that was sent Sunday night (11:00PM) with the rate confirmation attached including the extra $180.00 asking if I had loaded the Machine [Friday] and of course you know what happened next! It was blamed on me!! (I didn't babysit the agent) got all that straightened out ,they dropped the ball, re issued a load confirmation for a load tomorrow (11.24) I ordered permits letting them know since the load was re posted if the load was pulled from me they would be paying the Permits. Response was "It's Your Load" guess what happened....Carrier Beware!!
